Indonesian ELF Gathered: We Want Super Junior!! – From 110515

On Sunday, 15 May 2011, Indonesian ELF gathered in order to express their love for Super Junior. The main purpose of this event was to sign a 100 meter long Super Junior banner. There are pictures of all 15 members of Super Junior on the banner; Leeteuk, Heechul, Hangeng, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum, Kyuhyun, and 2 of Super Junior M members, Henry and Zhou Mi.

Around 1000 ELF joined this banner signing event. They came from various cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bekasi, and Bogor. Most of the participants were fangirls. However, few fanboys were also seen joining this event. According to the event organizer, @Cheonsa_P, this gathering was held to show how much Indonesian ELF love Super Junior. “We want Super Junior to know that they are very much loved in Indonesia. This 100 meter long banner signing event is made to prove our love,” stated one of the event organizer.

This event was also enlivened up by merchandise stands. Various merchandises were sold here, starting from lightstick, fans, posters, Super Junior albums, T-shirts, and many more. Of course ELF bought these items, especially lightsticks which will be used to welcome Super Junior on 4 June 2011. Besides, this event was also covered by local TV stations.

Apart from banner signing, another event was watching Super Show 3 together. The organizer provided a big screen for it. ELF turned on their lightsticks, singing and chanting along, as if they watched the Super Show in real. Songs like ‘Song For You’ and ‘Marry You’ were also played and ELF sang along whole-heartedly. In the end of this event, fans screamed, “We Want Super Junior!!”

Super Junior has never come to Indonesia. However, this boyband has been scheduled to come to Jakarta on 4 June 2011 for KIMCHI event. Besides Super Junior, KIMCHI will also be enlivened up by The-Boss, SS501 Park Jung Min, X-5, dan Girls Day.
